McGann Greenwood Communications was founded in 2011 by Stuart McGann and Alan Greenwood. Nicola McGann became a partner in 2012 . . .
Alan was editor of scotsman.com for four years prior to founding MGC. At The Scotsman Publications Limited (TSPL) he oversaw all aspects of publishing on the country's most popular newspaper website, maintaining the site’s market-leading position in an increasingly competitive environment.

He managed the launch of Scotland's first iPhone news app and helped ensure Scotsman titles became the most followed Scottish newspapers on Twitter.
Having also worked as News Editor at The Scotsman, Alan has a thorough knowledge of the events, personalities and social issues which drive the country's news agenda.
Alan possesses an excellent understanding of digital media and its practical applications for audience engagement, as well as the opportunities emerging media platforms can present.
A former editor of the Helenburgh Advertiser and multi-media editor of the Birmingham Post, Alan has demonstrated exceptional journalistic skills, a sharp news sense and a proven ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.

Stuart founded McGann Greenwood Communications in February 2011 after a successful career with media companies around the UK, including the Birmingham Post & Mail, Scottish & Universal Newspapers and the Western Mail & Echo in Cardiff.
His determination and enthusiasm helped us make a lot of progress in a short time and established MGC's reputation for professionalism and innovative thinking.
Stuart died in June 2012 but the founding principles he brought to McGann Greenwood Communications continue to define the way we work.
